Weekend update (wait...isn't that what
forgottenlord calls his
May. 4th, 2005 01:16 pmThe linear algebra exam was annoying. There was stuff I didn't know how to do and stuff I almost didn't know how to do. Writing the exam in the Education gym made me want to go on the climbers (which is still forbidden, just like it is in elementary school). Otherwise,
forgottenlord and I (mostly he) filled up a page with signatures for the petition/complaint/letter thingy. When I got back, he helped me take apart and pack things, and then move them downstairs to the living room, which made it really easy to move everything into the car once my parents arrived in the afternoon. It's amazing how much stuff can fit into a room 8' x 8' in size, the entire van was packed so full we had to leave some stuff behind, since we were taking
forgottenlord out for dinner with us first. We dropped him off at Lister after dinner and then picked up what was left. It took some clever rearranging and shoving into boxes to make things fit.
Now everything's sitting around in the basement, so I'm sleeping in the basement. After all, down there it's a lot cooler and it artificially gives me those chills that I get when I'm the only one awake in my apartment.
Sunday went by. My sister had to pick up a book of past papers for her music theory exam. There was some grocery shopping involved, and my sister opened a new bank account (at Superstore).
Monday contained weirdness. Weirdness like Chinese traditional medicine and apothecaries. Weirdness like dropping off a résumé at Rideau Music and picking up an application for Tim Horton's. Monday was closing my youth bank account (which charges fees once I turn 19). Monday contained thirst as I'm not supposed to drink cold liquids. Monday was getting lots of Cheapass Games, so now I have:
Tuesday sucked too. Picked up two really old (c. 1960s) textbooks: "High School Geometry" and "The Calculus." Yes, textbook titles were far more descriptive back then. I really love how in the entire book, it's "the calculus" (with the definite article) and how it uses the diaresis in words like "coöperation" and "coördinates." Like English should use, like in Dutch.
As of right now, I still haven't received any more grades back. I don't like waiting like this. Mailed my computer in to have the heat sink and fan replaced. Mom was nagging me about getting that Tim Hortons' form filled out (argh, I need a week to slack without worrying about deadlines and timelines!) so I did that, didn't feel too good about it. I KNEW this was going to be a week of Hell.
Lunch Money (and its expansions) looks interesting for us morbid types. They've got all three at Sentry Box.
In other news, my birthday's on Saturday.
(That's a hint, people who read this.)

Ahahaha, that's so me. Including the mob guys at the bottom. Except maybe the HK-ish background.
