Happiness is not a religion.
Feb. 2nd, 2005 06:27 pm...was too tired last night to think.
I think it's too dim in there...without the light I cannot don the veil of good-naturedness, unable to hide the darkness that is inside me. Without my own space, my own space that is free of vulgarities, free of dirty connotations, it could only be like a Hell of Engg Weeks for the rest of eternity. There may be more people, but I would feel without a home. (Plus if anyone's seen my room you know how much stuff I have, and I'd be paranoid locking my room all the time so people don't get to my knives.)
Ben left a message on my answering machine while I was out yesterday; he wanted to copy my MATH 102 notes. Now if only he knew I was over at Lister and that I had my 102 notebook with me instead of my 101, that would have been nice. But I don't have a cell phone and I don't really want one, it's not worth it since I don't spend a lot of time on the phone and people don't normally phone me anyway.
I mean, right now I'd make a crappy pun about Listerine but I won't.
We only got one question done from my homework yesterday. And when I looked at my assignment again today, I felt that defeated feeling again.
I woke up at 8:45 today; to my surprise both of my alarm clocks were on my desk by me next to my stereo. I know that when I went to bed one of them was in front of my phone (on the far end of the desk away from my bed) and the other one was on top of the set of drawers at the foot of my bed, next to the kleenex.
I jumped out of bed and filled a tupperware box with cereal and a spoon and a bottle with milk and walked to class as briskly as possible. Physics was bearable today, just barely. (Pun not intended.) I fell asleep several times in Math 101, we're doing differential equations and I totally know the two examples that we did will be the only ones we're going to get - and I didn't understand what was going on in either of them (which was due to and the reason why I was falling asleep). Math 102 went by quickly for some reason, and my notes started to get messy.
As for the Math 101 worksheet session between the two math classes...now that was evil. It's supposed to be like motivational exercises to prepare you for the homework (that we were working on this past week), but I couldn't do any of them either:

In the middle of Math 102 I suddenly must have choked on my spit or something because I started coughing really really badly, as if my throat was going to be tossed out. And as everyone knows, coughing fits are contagious, and it felt as if everyone was sick in some way or another (in all classes). Yesterday my cough wasn't as bad, since I had some lemon tea as part of my breakfast, today it was really bad probably because I didn't get a chance to eat anything before I had to hike to class. And I hate it when I'm coughing up a lot of phlegm and can't speak in a normal voice because of that.
But coming home after class, I must still be a retard, because I went to do my laundry and I was so excited about trying out my new fabric softener dispenser I forgot to put in laundry detergent. Oh well, water isn't a 'universal' solvent for nothing.
And now, yes, again I only have two questions on my Math 101 homework done. Isn't that disappointing. Hopefully I can finish up the other two questions that are done in mostly the same vein as the two I've got done. As for the rest - improper integrals scare me because limits scare me, and trig substitution I just have no frickin' clue.
forgottenlord's quote of the day:
Tuuli Mustasydän - The Reluctant Engineer — sick - must run away / from steve drake day:
int(du/u sqrt(5-u²))

Too bad I don't have time stamps for these but....
Date: 2005-02-02 05:39 pm (UTC)Tuuli Mustasydän says:
didn't want to see any more ints
Forgottenlord says:
got 1
Forgottenlord says:
got 3
Tuuli Mustasydän says:
yeah i could sorta get 3
Tuuli Mustasydän says:
that's the easiest one
Tuuli Mustasydän says:
#1 they wanted you to factor out x+1 and work from there so i tried that
Forgottenlord says:
no - 1 is the easiest of the 3
Tuuli Mustasydän says:
(insert angry face here)
Forgottenlord
I'm onto an answer for #2
Forgottenlord says:
got 2
That was in about the span of like 2 minutes....honestly - what's wrong with you? :D
Keep working on Math - just start tossing in sec and tan's everywhere
