Semi-drunk

Apologies if I can't quite type properly.

I went to DarkFlash's composition class's concert today, and heard a pianist play his composition. It was one of the more "normal" of the bunch. Some were just really really weird, like the one with the hisses and the laughs. There I ran into Nick Tam, who happens to be DarkFlash's friend from Debate Club but also someone I haven't really talked to since Grade 4, when I was in class with him.

So I went for dinner with DarkFlash and Nick, and the pizza took so long to arrive I was late for choir....oh well.

After choir I went with some of the choir people to RATT for some karaoke ... I ended up drinking two pints of beer and I did sing "There You'll Be"...that must have been my best karaoke performance ever (not because I'm semi-drunk, but because I actually sang it well)...but now I can't walk quite straight and I'm a little dizzy in the head...I just hope I don't end up with a semi-hangover tomorrow and that I can make it to the 9am chem review. That is all.

I drew a picture while I was at RATT - I'll try to scan it tomorrow.

Edit: Here it is.

Morning edit (7:00am - I never wake to my watch beeper but I did and I mistakenly thought the beeper was set to 7:30 when it was on 6:30): I was originally just going to drink one, but then I remembered that I've always told people that I could handle 2-3 drinks, so I just had to see what it was like. Granted, two pints is way more than two bottles, but it's probably what people would think I mean when I say I can take 2 drinks... Feeling a bit funny in the head, but it's certainly not the fuzzy headache that I know is a hangover... or is it? I guess I'll have to wait a bit and see.

I think I was six years old when dad once asked
”Son, do you drink booze (already)?”
Yes, I was six years old when dad asked me
”Son, do you drink booze (already)?”

And what can you object
when the asker is the man who teaches you all
So I see his glass eyes’ stare,
and demands ”Do you drink booze (already)?”

When we’re playing hide and seek dad counts to hundred
well aloud.
When we’re playing hide and seek dad counts to hundred
well aloud.
When the count goes two thousand
little boys better go to bed
As I watch behind the curtain how dad lies on the table
well aloud.

When mother left, we thought “We men can do just fine”
when mother went away.

The buttery puddle on the porridge glistens only for a while
The buttery puddle on the porridge glistens only for a while
This morning the butter doesn’t get to melt
at night the angels took my dad away.
So tells me the nice man at the hospital,
sits next to me, but only for a while.
