Home-home won't be the same again because my things aren't here and even when I come back for summer it's not long enough to settle down and unpack when I have to pack up again just as soon. Away-home isn't much better, because even though my stuff is there, I'm away from the people I know and I know that my existence there is just as temporary.
If I knew that they didn't do any baggage-checking before getting on the bus, I would have brought my knife. When I go back I will be arriving in the evening and since the bus depot is downtow, it'd be nice to have because it's really creepy there. When I get off the bus I have a couple of blocks to walk to get to the LRT station to take me back to school.
Weird. Sleeping on a firm mattress with actually warm sheets in a big (although somewhat empty) room. It's been too long.
