You, sin of intoxication, thou has consumed me! You insist that I bid thee to lift my spirit; you deceive me by persuading me to imbibe you slowly, that I do not sense your quiet intrusion. But you have done me well, that you have not tried to make me do what I would not do, but others do. Still I must push thee back; I cannot sustain you.
