Day 2.2 Paint fumes
May. 12th, 2009 06:22 pmSHE's still being super-nice, chatting with the coworkers and stuff. Maybe it's because I actually did something about it and said something to somebody in charge. It's getting crowded in our little un-workshop and so Anthony and I got to put together stuff right inside the construction area. It's roomier in the construction area, of course, but there's paint fumes and more construction noise. Which is fine, because it blocks out the annoying music they play in the store.
I can't get Celine Dion's "I Drove All Night" out of my head, dammit.
<sarcasm>I also just *loooooove* getting rickrolled every other day. </sarcasm>
I also managed to figure out how old she is, and she's younger than me by a couple of years or three. Not that it matters still.
I drained the larger of the two blood blisters this morning because it was making my finger hurt. I sort of regret doing that, since it ended up ripping open at work and began to gush blood. (Eeeew.) I managed to keep it off stuff and caught the blood in a piece of plastic while I ran to get HER and she accompanied me to the sink to wash it out and get a bandage. I'm really going to have to keep it bandaged up until it heals so that it doesn't explode like that on me again. (As for the other blister, it was smaller, darker, and actually just let itself out about 30 seconds ago as I was sort of picking at it. I'm pretty sure this one won't explode.)
I quite enjoy it when time goes by quickly. We were asked by the manager to please make stuff as slowly as possible because we're still going too fast and we quickly run out of space to stash it until people install them into the appropriate places.
It was snowing when I left. Stupid cold again. I'm in the library basement right now, which isn't much warmer, but I almost don't want to leave here.
