Since this morning, even before class,
Nov. 8th, 2007 01:22 amall this weighs so heavily on my mind.
How long will it be until even my homeland is no longer a safe haven from the ill plague of American moral evils? And then - where is there left to run?
I must save my people from the evil false reputations that will befall them.

Edit: It is highly unlikely for me that any tragedy in the news affects me; and I think now we understand what it is for something to "strike close to home". My home.

Date: 2007-11-08 06:10 pm (UTC)I prefer not to reason them out because most of them are intuitive convictions. (One of my friends is actually writing a philosophy paper on how beliefs don't necessarily need to be justified by the person holding them - though a justification does exist, it's just not necessary for the holding of said belief.)
I avoid all political/economic subjects. I also avoid debate. I do not avoid the *sharing* of alternate moral points of view, so long as it does not become heavy-handed and persuasive.
