Gimme a break
May. 11th, 2009 09:02 amI've got the Internet cut off in my flat for a few days, so I typed this as an email on my phone earlier:
There's basically a haematoma on both my left index and middle fingers, right at the base of the fingernails. The doctor said that it's just important that they don't get infected, so he cautioned against draining the blood from them unless it's causing lots of pain. He also said that because of where the haematomata are, the fingernails may die and fall out in a few weeks, but they'll grow back. Typing is a bit tricky right now since it uses the tips of my fingers and putting pressure on them causes a funny tingling, but for general stuff like cooking or building the pads of my fingers seem fine...
I hurt a couple of my fingers pretty bad [window slammed shut onto them] last night, so I've asked my boss for the morning off so I can see a doctor about it.
I've also brought up some of my issues regarding HER to my boss so he's going to talk to HER about that. Boss is either super-professional about the whole thing or he didn't hear about it from HER. He asked if I had any other issues about the job and I said that I enjoy it very much but SHE isn't being very conducive to good morale and a productive atmosphere.
I'm still prepared to write my two-weeks quit notice if SHE doesn't wake up to what she's doing. Too bad I didn't break my finger, or my boss could just immediately dismiss me since that would put me out of work for a month. I'm not resolute on quitting yet because I want to see things work out and discipline for her.
SHE will probably hate me by the end of this, but it's not like she doesn't already know that I don't like her. She can't possibly be so dense as to NOT notice that. Or maybe so...
