— If you choose to live, then you allow me to hurt you as much as I wish. If you choose to die, then you allow me to make your death as slow and as painful as I wish. Is that clear?
— Wait! That's not fair!
— You never knew? People of my kind never deal fairly with yours. Now you know, but your knowledge has come too late.
— Let me go! I won't accept your terms! I have the right to choose [the contracts to which I will be bound]!
— You never had rights. You never had a choice, but I have granted you one now: do you choose to live or die? You can change your mind anytime.
