Down in the common room, aside from the piano bench being at an ill height for the piano (which means my wrists hurt like crazy right now), there is also a pile of random papers on top of the piano, consisting of a number of blank sheets of white paper, a number of pages to "Your Body is a Wonderland" (or whatever that song is called anyway), the lyrics to Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", some page from some RCM repertoire book, what appears to be some gospel song in English and Spanish [edit: it's "The Prayer", that duet in Italian and English], and the first page of the Moonlight Sonata (the other pages were there last summer, but they have since gone missing). Oh, and a piece of cardboard.
There are some pencil scribbles on the back of one of these random papers. Two of the scribbles are words. The rest are either notes or chord symbols. The words made my heart jump.
No, no it's not. Kind of disappointing, eh? I wish it was what I thought it was; but then I wish for strange things.
