One of the chem major guys in my physics class tipped me off as to a prereq for the solid state chemistry stuff - he said that CHEM 241 (Intro to Inorganic Chemistry) was a requirement. I would love to drop 371 for that, but I require it both to fulfill major requirements and to keep my foot in the engineering back door. Also, Dr. Mar's teaching 241 (I had him for CHEM 105) and he's pretty good.

Fortunately there's still space in my timetable to fit that, albeit in a kinda ugly way:

Because of that extra lab, I had to switch the SOC course I wanted to take (that's fine with me; there are plenty of options in that department, so long as I can get into them; what with the priority registration for real SOC students and all) - tentatively it's Sociology of Law with my current Criminology prof (blargh), but it could be pretty much any SOC course that fits in that morning space on any day of the week.

[1] This is no longer actually "hacked" as the utility is officially available on the unofficial BearScat site now.

Edit: I can scratch the SOC class off the above; turns out CHEM 263 is no longer a prerequisite for any of the solid state chemistry classes I'm intent on taking. Instead of spending 6 hours a day 5 days a week for 3 weeks this summer bitching about organic chem, I can spend 3 hours a day 2 days a week for 6 weeks bitching about the effects of the media on society. Add that to the similarly scheduled 3/2/6 for psych, I actually have a decent number of daylight hours to conceivably hold an actual part-time job. Yays. Isn't that exciting?
