Random fragment #2570
Jul. 27th, 2006 05:55 pmWith love comes suffering, for love requires patience.
In our suffering and patience we affirm our love.
In difficult days we hear the call to freedom in our hearts,
Grasping at us that we may give in.
But we have the strength to harness freedom for our love:
Your time has yet to come.
...who shall be more enlightened:
he who wed his love
as soon as he could,
or he who fought
through hell
through pain
through endless nights of longing
to do so?
For love is not a craving but a hunger;
Love knows no bounds but must be bound.
Though some claim freedom to abandon all but love,
Love can be no void.
Life must come before freedom before love;
Love does not make alive those who do not yet live.
...already I question what I have ever done to demonstrate my love for my forebears. For what sensible reason would and could I openly defy their wishes more so, for the sake of old defiance?
