Let's beat this to not death, but life
Jun. 25th, 2006 08:13 amCMB Remake 2!
I listened again to the original, and found some parts where I neglected to do harmonies (actually, I haven't listened to the original for ages).
Added harmony line to second and third chorus.
Added extra harmony line to fourth (final chorus) - the old harmony line should be in the left and the new one in the right.
These new harmony lines are improvised, so there is slight variation in each repetition.
Added both upper and lower harmonies to 'hoooooweeeeeoooooooeeeeeeeeeeiiiiii' part. Lower harmony is mostly unison with melody but deviates at the end. Upper harmony is, well, not as show-off-y as others have done (or the original), but was still a challenge for me. Boy, is it difficult to make it harmonize properly.
Re-recorded speech section. I still murdered it. Or, should I say, 'beat it to death'?
Edit: Here's a remixed version that lowers the volume on the harmonies a bit, if they were a little overwhelming originally.
