CSI: Hong Kong
Mar. 20th, 2006 10:29 pmGun crime doesn't happen all that often over there, despite what you might think from watching HK action flicks. Or HK TV dramas. That's probably because gun blanks and explosives for special effects are cheap. (Cheaper than hiring people to do CG, I guess.)
So when it happens, it's a big deal. And it's an interesting mystery so far, to boot.
Edit: My super-cool policeman cousin used to be something like the second-in-command guy somewhere on Lantau Island (not sure if it was Tung Chung)...he's not there anymore (he works near the Mainland border now), but seven years ago he was special there, he could park his car anywhere he wanted and could get us free food and special permission to visit parts of the giant Buddha temple that the general public isn't allowed to see :)
