are those US dollars? I'm having a heart attack. I spent $250 per semester on books (but that was in the 1970's, when it cost 2.50 to go to the movies).

My kid won't be in college for another 7 years. I don't even want to think how much this is going to cost.

These are Canadian dollars, but that doesn't really help much, it's still pretty insane.

Most people, seeing this, would probably opt to get used books. I don't like used books, usually because they're often too beat-up or written-in for my taste.

I keep my textbooks in mint or near-mint condition (the only exception being my red Math 209 book, in which one page came loose), and considering how much I've been spending on jazz records lately I figure it might be high time to sell some of my Engineering ones. The only one on that list I can provide you with is Differential Equations, but I might be able to do so at a discount.
