Bookcrossing and an update
Feb. 18th, 2005 05:29 pmAfter Bible study, I was hanging out with Jon in the Chem building and as we were headed off to Cameron Library (right here - it's an amazing computer lab downstairs, and I hadn't even ever been in here until the day before yesterday!) I spotted a book with a sticky note on the cover that said "Try me! I'm free!" I flipped open the cover and sure enough it was a Bookcrossing book. I've left a copy of my own book (through a friend) in Holland myself, but I had never ever picked up a bookcrossing book before. I'm so hyped. It doesn't sound like the kind of book I'd normally read, but I'll read it anyway. It'll give me something to do on the bus when I go home tomorrow.
I haven't gone a day without seeing
forgottenlord all week (even yesterday, when we had agreed that it would probably be best not to see each other that day, I ended up going anyway); I'm going to be so depressed this weekend, and so will he...
...After all, he did say that he seems to think and study better and actually get stuff done when I'm around...
I went to Lister after my programming exam. The exam wasn't bad; but there were a few tricks I wouldn't have caught had I not gone over the exam a second time. I'm not giving an estimated score; I don't want to over- or underestimate myself and then feel bad for it.
One of the girls on his floor was rather drunk last night, and came into
forgottenlord's room (while he was out, and I was in, and she had asked permission to do this). I immediately went back to trying to help another girl with her homework, so I didn't have to look up at her:
She: So, are you [
forgottenlord]'s girlfriend?
Me: No comment.
She: What's your name? [Note: I'm sure she knows, but that's what happens when you're drunk.]
Me: No comment.
She: Okay. [She leaves.]
I think I heard a couple of the guys that she was hanging out with mock me for a bit right after this conversation, but meh. I don't talk to drunk people.
