I have lain in green pastures
pristine but not innocent
tainted with the blood and souls of fools
(how little they know of this)

Amid the stains a shielded light still free
free from the sins of the ancestors
free from the grasp of evil
free to release my spirit
from shuttered darkness
to a beam of blinding light
