Ill of heart (and stomach)

...that if I were invited to partake with them their drink, then I do simply ask of them to drink as I drink: drop for drop, glass by glass. No more, for surely I were invited to participate as part of the group, and if I were to act like them, I would only damn myself. Is it too much to ask that they drink less than they often do out of respect and consideration? Or is it selfish? I do not care how much they drink out of my sight; that is none of my business.
