My interview [spontaneous entry]
Feb. 11th, 2004 07:00 pmIf you haven't figured it out already, that post below was me preparing answers for the questions that were asked at my interview for valedictorianship at lunch today. Hey, I had no idea either that there would be an interview for the part, I thought it was just going to be a short audition speech. And not knowing that until just yesterday's noon-hour meeting I was in quite a bit of a panic to prepare answers. Also...I had no idea of interview deportment, not having ever done a job interview or somesuch.
Fortunately it didn't go too badly; my only issue was that I didn't really get a chance to say everything I wanted to say and the interviewer didn't seem too interested in writing down particularly detailed notes on what I said (which I felt was somewhat necessary to construct a profile of my character). I didn't feel nervous at all :D
Then after school I went to an audition for one of the projects by the drama class -- I've never had much luck with these, I think it's because I haven't taken drama or theatre classes. So the drama students either don't know me or I don't do something "properly" (what it is, I wouldn't know. They're too nice to tell me). But it was a hilarious play, and I hope I'll (finally!) get a part in it. A disadvantage of staying in the room after your audition is that you hear other people auditioning from the same part of the script and they speak the part in such a clever way and you're left thinking, 'why didn't I think of that??!!!'
*Okay...the intro to this song. Makes it perfect. For a dance. Aaargh!*
