I turned in my nomination for valedictorian form today, with 10 student signatures and 3 teacher signatures. It's an equal opportunity society here so valedictorianship doesn't always go to those with top marks but unfortunately they're really trying to look for that well-rounded school citizen. I may not have that and I really don't care; I'm just trying out because I want to take every opportunity I have to present to people my ideas and thoughts (Ms. Foulkes said today at the speech rehearsal that my writing style was "nice"). Even if it's just at the 2 minute audition for val. Maybe I could be one of the speakers at the grad banquet, but I heard from my inside source that often those speeches are generally light-hearted. I guess it's hard to get a serious message across when everyone's excited about going clubbing or whatever after.

At the same time, looking for people to nominate me wasn't really so much about the nomination but for an affirmation of how many people do love me and care about me, for it is sometimes quite easily believed that I am alone. It's sometimes not enough to just love yourself.

I wish everyone could hear the truth -- that I am lonely beyond belief regardless of what imitation of content I wear, that I never meant to hurt her with my actions, that happiness is the end to end all ends, which can be reached by many ways, that this unfortunate soul, lost in the darkness, needs everybody's help to find the light. I alone cannot make ears turn to listen. It is by your own willingness that my messages find you, and with you an open mind.
