Closing thoughts. [journal]
Sep. 12th, 2004 02:16 amJust because it's Saturday night doesn't give you an excuse to party like there's no tomorrow. In fact, there is never an excuse to party like there's no tomorrow. And especially not when it's pretty obvious that the whole place here is pretty industrial in construction: panel walls, not drywall; metal staircase, and so on. I think I didn't need to hear first-hand what drunken singing sounded like. Anyway, this means that the walls are about as effective as cardboard in keeping sound out.
For once I wanted to go to bed early, but I couldn't because of that partying. When I couldn't take it anymore and went next door to ask them to quiet down, I considered, for a moment, drawing my knife so they'd know I meant business. But I didn't. I really don't want to get into any more trouble than my already serious potential trouble with the law. And, I never knew drunk until I saw them. Not to say that I've ever seen anyone else drunk before.
