To each of us is our own image of what we wish to be. More often than not, this image is left unspoken. Is it not only what you want to be but also how you appear and that reflects back on your inner image -- what you want to be but know you cannot. And it is because of that last aspect that we leave it unspoken, only seen; never named, only revealed, for if we were to speak or to name it, then we may recoil at the thing that we have exposed: the inner image.

And I would rather live in a calculated ignorance than to be warned by someone else's assumptions; I would rather live in a measured unknowingness than to stifle imagination by knowing the truth. Because in some things, the imagination becomes a better deterrant and warning than the fact ever could -- when what we see in the mind is far more scary than plain fact can be. Fact can be untastefully bland sometimes, so bland that it does nothing in the direction that the user is trying to use it. Facts do not move our emotions and cause us to want to stay to a certain path or opinion. But to see the truth with our eyes or have an exaggerated impression in the mind does.
