Mar. 14th, 2010 10:49 pmI can't imagine right now anything that throws my body rhythm off more than waking up this morning to the sound of machinery -- an engine grinding away at chains, the open window totally not helping with the suffocating air in the room, nothing letting up... being at the mercy of the thunder and no hope of a settled and focused mind unless to run far, far away.
It kills the mind, and gives me horrible headaches. I want to sleep -- unnatural weariness -- I keep trying but sleep grants me no rest. (There is also no reasonable, comfortable way to be in this room except dressed only in underwear. Even then, it's somewhat uncomfortable. The temperature rises in daylight to at least 30°C, and doesn't settle to below 26°C at all -- even at its coolest point at the late part of the early morning.)
