To be born again.

Last week's course had one research essay assignment, which is due in 2 weeks' time. This week I already turned one essay (5p) in today and another is expected to be in Monday, but the teacher will accept it until Friday. And they're topics so open and broad that they could be philosophy essays. (Finnish has too many compound words, so they assign by number of pages rather than number of words to keep things fair.) Understandably I'm under some stress right now.

And I watch Matthieu's daughter, so free and natural, yesterday. Again, to learn it all naturally, without having to process and translate each word, without having to wrestle with grammar. I wish I could go back and be born with it, else to start over with the children...but it still would not be the same. It is only with full literacy that the ability to express abstract ideas is achieved; that I may say the things that I wish to say.
