Will find itself false image in the mind
When unseen ties keep thee in homebornt bind
Where greater motives are forbid within.
What space becomes thine own in time
And habits learned of fellows about thee:
All strive to seek, and to find some degree
Of strength to ever higher skywards climb.
But without love, all strength is got in vain
And evil gains: becomes the endless sea
Of tears; Words of love and loss reside
In silence, to be snatched away the same:
Helpless, unasked - begging on bended knee
Still fails to call saviour to sounds denied.
