My mom had bought me some professional clay facial mask stuff from the salon she goes to, and I decided to try it today. I'm going to guess it's a lot easier to apply this stuff onto someone else's face while they're lying down, because although the piece of gauze you use as a barrier between the clay and your skin does sort of stick to your face after you rub on the pretreating oil, you don't have enough hands to hold the package of clay, smear it on with the spatula stick, and hold the gauze in place while you do so. It has menthol in it or something, because it is extremely cool against my skin, and I'm stuck in this blank facial expression for 20 minutes before I take it off. I have a photo of this, but it'll probably be months before I can show it to you.
In other news, I was asked to carve three chickens at the ASK dinner tonight! No one in attendance knew how (and there were almost 20 people there), but I said that I had seen my dad do it so I tried to do it. It's harder than it looks. Maybe it's because chicken isn't as tough as turkey so the meat falls apart a lot easier. The mashed ham was delicious, and I watched The Incredibles. It was really funny (even though my sister doesn't think it's as good as Finding Nemo).
A group of ASKies were playing Settlers of Catan in Steph's room. Chris was among them, and he was also trying to listen to the radio broadcast of the Flames vs. Stars game (which was disappointing). Chris is a very experienced gamer, and he was sure not happy about the Settlers game dragging on for a while because the dice kept failing to generate resource cards for him. He won anyway, after the dice stopped acting funny to him.
