I went to my audition for the singing and handbell choirs today, and man was it intense! I had to sing exercises to see how high and low my voice could go, sing by sight, listen to short melodies and repeat them from memory, and sing the lower or middle notes of chords that the director played on the piano (sort of like the playback tests for grade 10 piano, except that it's just one chord and he doesn't give you clues by playing the right note a bit louder). Then I had to clap rhythms off a page, which were a little bit difficult for me. These weren't like piano exam ones in that here he tapped out the beat while you clapped to it, at a pace that he sets, and sometimes the tempo was pretty darn brisk. I think I did really well though, my voice didn't crap out on me when he asked me to sing O Canada.

In other news, I almost fell asleep in physics class again, the prof was still sooooooooo boring. I'm slowing figuring out how to do my math homework. It's coming back to me.

I worked with Niesen on my math homework today, and got it done. Then he took me out to Chianti for pasta (no it was not a date, okay?), which is always really yummy. Now I need to do my chem pre-lab assignment for Monday. And look at the physics stuff due next Friday.

Message of the day: Welcome to university residence life, where everything is slapdash except for the first week of homework.
