Shakespeare Giving Me a Problem
I was so bored in Chinese class today because the new unit we're starting is called 'Renshi Hanyu' (recognizing Chinese characters) and we're supposed to learn the characters for 'big,' 'small,' 'China,' and 'person.' And the numbers. Now, being Chinese myself, I learned these words when...when...I was...3?
Enter Teacher, with Students.
Teacher: Long time since our last unit completed
I fear your energy soon b'depleted.
I give thee these sheets, from them you shall learneth.
First Student: What is this nonsense to our hands you puteth?
For it is in my prior knowledge seen
Many years since it has taught to me been.
Is this not too simplistic?
Second Student: Not a doubt.
For once this class, sire, I'm gonna passeth out.
Teacher: What mad ramblings do you make behind me?
I ask thee, stop dreaming your fantasies.
First Student: O please, sir, I do greatly implore thee!
By the earth, flowers, the rocks and the trees!
Give us something diff'rent, something anew,
So that "I'm learning" is statement doth true.
Teacher: A 'statement doth true'? Whatever you mean?
Why, I've been writ in a Shakespear'an scene!

Bad Poem. Bad Bad Poem.
"Cryptica"
I'm hearing strange words in a strange tongue
I've never heard in my life
They're in my mind, unleaving
I don't even know their meaning
But yet I still hear...
Strange words in a strange tongue
I'm hearing strange songs from a strange land
I'd never thought to imagine
It's completely not my fault
Feels like a deliberate assault
They're stuck in my head...
Strange songs from a strange land
I'm hearing strange words in a strange tongue
From far across the sea
It seems so odd, believing
That this is much more than dreaming
The fact I'm still hearing
Strange words in a strange tongue
