I feel that I should and want to divulge something of a personal nature to her, that if she proves an honest listener to my thoughts, then it would somehow mend this relationship. Yet I cannot rely on such a reaction, knowing already some of her reactions to opinions I have previously expressed. I fear that hers is an unsympathetic ear, that it would do me more harm than good. Even if I did this, what would I say? I cannot unload my troubles onto her, for they are on her. Some stalemate of action this is!
