Ok, so I spent like $200 at the mall today. There were some things that were on my shopping list, but then I saw The.Most.Awesome.Deal.Evar (see last item, below) so I bought more. Firstly, I figured that if I was going to get into the genre, I had to acquire Nightwish's "Oceanborn," arguably their best album, according to fans. Whether the issue with whether Sleeping Sun was on it as a bonus track or not (see here) was resolved (it never was resolved), it didn't matter since I *would* prefer to someday acquire a legit copy of the release of "Angels Fall First" with the three bonus songs on it (of which SS is one). But my plans changed, as you will soon see.

Wait, wait ... Get this...
Look, I know I've said many times that I really don't like LotR or the movies, just the music, but when the complete recordings soundtrack for FotR is $75 on amazon.ca, then you see the extended movie trilogy DVDs on sale for $19.99 per film at HMV, it's worth everything to pick them up for the pretty packaging and the music alone. Sure, there's a bit of dialogue, but on the off-chance that I might someday *want* to care about the dialogue, it's there for me. ;P

- 5-pack of DVD-Rs (forgottenlord's burning me a disc with all of the ReBoot episodes on it)
- pocket sketchbook (yeah I know I'm such a hardbound sketchbook whore, except that I actually use them for stuff. I figured I might as well have a dedicated place to jot down ideas.)
- Stikfas Stegosaurus for forgottenlord, for our one-year anniversary
- Nightwish - "Oceanborn" (checked when I got back, turns out it does have SS on it but as an unmarked bonus track...NICE!!)
- Nightwish - "Once" (figured two things: it has 'Kuolema tekee taiteilijan' on it, which people have been telling me I need to hear, and if I'm really going to be getting into the genre, I might as well immerse myself in it and feel it in my bones)
- The Lord of the Rings extended trilogy
