kyrasantaeYeah, someone set off the fire alarm, I think it only affected the new parts of Lister (the conference centre part including the Marina, and Schäffer). David came outside and promptly started to open a can of beer since he had just finished writing a paper, and we were like, "oh no, put it away, put it away," but it was already a bit too late, so we had him hide it in his jacket sleeve while he drank it. Close brush with Jon, too, he had just walked by. Yay for darkness. Heh. Things aren't like that in Germany, ya know.
When we went back inside, the stairwell did smell like something had been burning, with a tinge of meatiness, sort of like ham. Maybe it was turkey. Or it could have just been someone who accidentally went out through the alarmed doors at the back.
