I have three of the Rajaton albums and the other two on order.
The "Joulu" double CD case suffers from the same problem as my copy of Yö - "Legendat" in that instead of a pinned mechanical hinge, the case relies on bending the plastic to flip it open to the second disc. Now, this causes tons of fatigue1 in the material, and it being plastic, it just doesn't have the same material toughness as, say, steel.2 So eventually it'll break (like it did in my copy of "Legendat"). So the first thing I did when I got back was take a narrow piece of clear tape and stick it over the top side of the hinge so that when it breaks the CD tray will still be attached to the case.
"Nova" comes in a folded paper case w/ plastic CD tray and has translations of the song lyrics.
Don't know why they scrapped the translations idea for "Kevät." I honestly don't care for translations to the Christmas songs on "Joulu." Or the lyrics, for that matter. Their Finnish version of "Jingle Bells" creeps me out.
And in typical European style, these did not come with shrink-wrap on the cases.
1A condition leading to the eventual failure of a material due to constant or repeated fluctuating stresses that exert less pressure than the tensile strength of the material.
2Sorry, am I sounding like someone in my field?
