Today was Free Comic Book Day. Artists Laurie Breitkreuz and Kandrix Foong from Konsequential Studios were there, giving out copies of a mini-prequel comic book to their series "A Monk's Tale." I got that signed, picked up a sampler of "Ronin Hood of the 47 Samurai" (yeah it's a spoof of Robin Hood that takes place in feudal Japan) from the free comic book table, and bought card sleeves for my Citadels cards and a couple of packs of Pirates of the Crimson Coast since they were 20% off (this store normally overprices them at $5.95 a pack but the discount makes it worth it).
Later I read through "A Monk's Tale" and realized that there were only 4 issues out so far, and that I remembered seeing all 4 of them at the store. I made another quick trip at 5:15 to buy all 4 of them (as well as some plastic sleeves for them), and get them signed too. Kandrix tells me that the copies of #1 and #2 that I bought were first printing editions (second printing has different cover artwork)... which are out of print, of course. Also buy some Mothers' Day cards for my mom and my neighbour. Make it back just in time for my neighbour Tasha to arrive just a teeny bit past 6...
Tash got me Carcassonne for my b-day, now I need excuses to splurge on all of the expansions.
Zoe got me a shiny twirly thingy for my window.
Odd Boy on the other hand... walks in with a bottle inside a cloth bag.

Oh, guess not opening presents in front of parents now :p
I like the bag though. I can put it to good use.
